Martyrs for a New Town Vicolo S. Magno, 4

The exhibition "Martyrs for a New Town", curated by the Associazione don Bernardi e don Ghibaudo, tells the story of don Giuseppe Bernardi, don Mario Ghibaudo and Antonio Vassallo.
The two young priests, now beatified, and the businessman lost their lives during the Boves massacre of 19 September 1943. The priests were an example of selflessness and humanity until the end, just like the citizen, who cared for the community with great generosity, up to the point of ultimate sacrifice.
The exhibition also traces the path towards reconciliation started in 2013 by the Associazione, through the Cantieri di Riconciliazione and with the support of the local administration, in close partnership with the German town of Shondorf, where SS commander Peiper, who was responsible for the Boves massacre, is now buried.
